How to Re-Charge a Card

Learn how to re-charge a credit card from a previous transaction within six months of the original payment date.

Updated over a week ago

In AffiniPay, you can conveniently process a new charge using a card from a previous transaction for up to six months after the original transaction date.

Steps to Re-Charge

  1. Navigate to Transactions: In the AffiniPay portal, select Transactions from the left navigation menu.

  2. Select Original Payment: Locate and click on the specific transaction containing the card you wish to recharge.

  3. Initiate Re-Charge: On the right side of the transaction details page, click the Re-Charge button.

  4. Submit Payment: Enter the new amount and click Submit charge.

Important Considerations

  • Fixed Information: The original cardholder details—such as the name on the card and Zip Code—cannot be edited during a re-charge.

  • Scheduled Payments: Transactions that were originally generated from a recurring schedule cannot be re-charged.

  • Time Limit: This feature is only available for transactions processed within the last six months.

❗️NOTE

Re-charging a card is a secure way to bill a client for additional services without requiring them to provide their payment information a second time.
